Privacy
Tapify tags help a stranger get a lost dog back to its owner. To do that we store some information about you and your dog. Here is exactly what, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address and your password. The password is stored only as a scrambled code by our login provider. We never see it.
- Your dog's profile: your dog's name, your name, and the phone number or message link a finder should use. These are always shown to anyone who taps your tag.
- Optional details: a photo, commands your dog knows, a home address, a microchip number and medical notes. You choose whether to add each one.
- Your tag: a random secret link, of which we keep only a scrambled fingerprint, and an activation code that is erased as soon as you use it.
- Technical details: your internet address is used briefly to stop people guessing links and passwords. [Hosting provider name] may also keep standard server logs, such as the time of a request and the internet address it came from, for security.
Who can see it
Anyone who taps your tag, or opens its link, sees your dog's name, your name and your contact button. Your photo, commands, address, microchip number and medical notes are private until you switch each one on. You can switch them off again at any time, and the change is immediate.
We do not sell your information and we do not show advertising.
Who looks after it for us
- Supabase stores the database, the logins and the photos, in Sydney, Australia.

Cookies and tracking
When you log in to your account we set two cookies that keep you logged in. They are needed for the account to work. The page a finder sees sets no cookies, and we use no analytics or advertising trackers.
Your choices
- Change or remove any detail, or pause your tag, from your account page.
- Delete your account from your account page. This erases your profile, your photo, your tag record and your login straight away, and it cannot be undone.
- For anything else, such as a copy of what we hold, contact us at [contact email].
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you delete your account. After that it is removed from our live systems straight away.
